Vivaaa...Las Charlie Villanueva!
It was a chic party for a good cause in Las Vegas last night with the Toronto Raptors - actually, it wasn’t REALLY Las Vegas; it all happened at the Air Canada Centre on the court (which was transformed into a Vegas scene). (click here for photo coverage of this event)
Every year, the Toronto Raptors throw their annual Foundation Rap Up completely open to their fans.
On this special occasion, Chris Bosch was hustling the deck instead of his NBA rivals, while Mo Peterson was behind the bar mixing "Mo-Tinis" for the crowd. It’s not everyday you get to see the Toronto Raptors GQ’d up in suits serving drinks, dealing cards and giving free autographs. You might ask why aren’t they practicing and how come I wasn’t invited to this exceptional party. Actually, you were invited!
Every year, the Toronto Raptors throw their annual Foundation Rap Up completely open to their fans. Guests get to schmooze with their favorite Raptors and other local celebrities in an atmosphere that is relaxed and entertaining.
An open bar, a silent auction for over 100 one of a kind items (such as Antonio Davis’ autographed game worn jersey), and food, food, food! From a delicious organic chicken served with couscous, carved prime rib to a sinfully rich Chocolate & Passion Fruit truffle (in the shape of a pyramid!), it was an all-round showcase.
All the proceeds for the Foundation Rap Up go to Ontario registered charities, which support youth programs and sports initiatives for at-risk children - and for more information about next year’s gala please visit: http://www.nba.com/raptors/community/Annual_Rap_Up_Charity_Event-90092-71.html
